Erin’s interest in counseling grew out of her eight-year career as a pastor, where she ministered to individuals and families in her congregation. A kind and compassionate therapist, Erin works to help clients strengthen coping and relationship skills, and articulate deeper needs. She has a special interest in working with those in the military and the clergy, populations who have unique stressors in their lives.
Erin especially enjoys couples and family work, and can help clients with a variety of issues, including identity development; grief and adjustment disorders; spiritual exploration; anxiety & depression; and emotional management around infertility or divorce.
Erin most recently worked at the Samaritan Counseling Center in Winnetka. She did her clinical internship with the Chaplain’s Family Life Center at Fort Belvoir Army Base in Virginia, where she worked exclusively with military personnel, spouses and their families. Erin is a trained EMDR facilitator, and incorporates spiritual integration and mindfulness practices to help clients improve their emotional health.
Erin has two children, and in her spare time enjoys swimming, yoga and singing.
