Marianny brings a broad-based, multi-cultural perspective to her clinical work. A compassionate and intuitive therapist, she was born in Brazil, and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Marianny came to YFC as a clinical intern in 2016, and has a special interest in working with children and adolescents. As an intern at Brazil’s Research Institute in Psychoanalysis and Language, she worked as a group therapist for autistic, psychotic and neurotic children. She also worked as with middle-school students as an Educational Psychology Intern in a Brazilian public school, and has served as an adult psychotherapist intern at Terre Cohen Tripoli in Vernon Hills, IL.
Growing up in Brazil, Marianny’s early exposure to community service solidified her desire to address not only a person’s physical needs, but to also recognize and help alleviate their emotional ones. To Marianny, counseling provides clients with a space where one can transform confusion and suffering into clarity and a better life.
Marianny is a mother to five children and enjoys reading philosophy in her spare time.
