YFC Auxiliary Delivers Record Breaking Results at Enchanted Paris Eve 2017 Gala

Hats off to the ladies of Youth & Family Counseling’s Auxiliary!  Thanks to their efforts, these incredible women raised over $150,000 in support of YFC’s mission to provide mental healthcare to those who need it, regardless of ability to pay.

This year’s Gala was held on Saturday, November 4 at the breathtaking Sanfilippo Estate in Barrington.  Nearly 300 guests were mingled among the wonders of the Sanfilippo collection, the centerpiece of which was the Eden Palais Carousel, a spectacular, 19th century European carousel that has been meticulously restored to its original grandeur. The evening included cocktails, Live and Silent Auctions, dinner and – as a surprise to supporters – a ride on the carousel itself!

The evening's festivities also included a drawing for the winners of YFC's Gala Raffle.  This year's raffle was a huge success, due in no small part to the sales efforts of our Auxilary members, and to the energy of Raffle Chair Kaarn Luce and Site Sale Coordinator Jodi Hackendahl.  Our Auxiliary sold more than $10,000 in raffle tickets, adding significantly to the Gala's bottom line. Winners of the raffle were: Joe Bonefas - $2,000 winner; Pat Kamins - $1,000 winner; and Steve Culver, winner of the Apple Series 2 watch.

From the venue, to the attendance, to the money raised, the YFC Auxiliary outdid themselves this year.  An Enchanted Paris Eve is truly a one for the record books!

Libertyville residents Anne Brandt and Maria Rill co-chaired the festivities. Gala Committee members included Bonnie Bock, Patricia Bleck, May Evans, Karina Formento, Annette Freyman, Alison Gildemeister, Kirstin Griffith, Jodi Hackendahl, Julie Kloser, Michelle Krumm, Kaarn Luce, Sharon Mullins, Lorraine Pritchard, Casey Rooney, Kathleen Salemi, Leia Skie, Erin Swearingin, Laurie Wienke, Janine Wilson and Judy Zoellick.

Funds raised from the Gala are used to underwrite counseling for children, teens, adults and families who cannot afford the cost of services.  This important event helps YFC open doors to mental health care to all who need it in central Lake County.

Special thanks to our 2017 Premier Sponsors Allstate, BCU and the Vernon Hills Dental Center; and to our Platinum Sponsors Brake Parts; William Frick & Company; Hollister; and Tom & Annette Freyman.  Additional support was also provided by JLL; Rust-Oleum; Lorraine & Greg Pritchard;  Dick & Sandy Hutson; Dalco Metals; Karina Kolb-Formento, Baird & Warner; Semmelman & Wisneski, Ltd.; Libertyville Bank & Trust; Banner & Witcoff, Steve & Terry Ihm; Kirkland & Ellis; Lance & Carol Piccolo; Bleck Consulting, Scott & Brenda Carlson; Jim & Darlene Shackelford.
